The automobile group Volkswagen is making an investment of 3.4 billion euros in its hometown of Wolfsburg by 2026. A factory for the production of the future Trinity electric sedan is planned outside the factory premises. A production facility for the ID.3 electric car and the Sandkamp R&D campus with up to 5,000 jobs will be built on the factory premises.
